Emily first came to Nepal in 2012 to see the Himalayas. On this trip she encountered the teachings of the Buddha Dharma and felt an immediate connection. In 2016 she moved to Boudha, Nepal to study Tibetan Buddhism and has been based there since. Emily’s journey with yoga started about 20 years ago. Over the years she’s practiced Hatha, Ashtanga and Anusara. In 2013 she completed her Hatha yoga teacher training in Bali and continues to explore movement through inquiry. Her slow flow classes rooted in curiosity and playfulness support a space for introspection and softening.

Nathalie

Nathalie Royer

A practitioner for over 20 years, Nathalie specializes in Hatha style. She began her yoga journey in Colorado, before living and practicing in Frankfurt, Germany; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Boston, USA and now back in her hometown in Québec, Canada. A runner and a mother, she is familiar with the balance and benefits that yoga offers beyond itself.

Nathalie has accrued over 1000 training hours in hatha yoga, yoga for children, aerial yoga, yin yoga, yoga Nidra, therapeutic yoga and Reiki. She has also organized a yoga retreat in Costa Rica as well as a 14 days yoga and meditation retreat in Nepal. She is currently co teaching a 200 Yoga teacher training.

Lisa

Originally from Germany, Lisa first stepped onto a yoga mat in Argentina in 2007 and was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga and fell in love with the practice. The Yoga practice quickly became a big part of her life as she began to recognise the ability to transform, nurture and heal body, mind and soul. For Lisa, teaching comes from a playful and heart-centred perspective where she aims to inspire her students to move into a place of loving empowerment and to create a sacred space and willingness to feel everything there is to feel. Lisa currently shares Yoga, Reiki and Craniosacral therapy in Kathmandu, encouraging her students to go deep, to live in service, and to be free from systems that don’t serve us.

Michael has studied & taught yoga & meditation for over 21 years and is a professional musician for over 30 years. In 2010, at the request of the community he founded Vessel Academy, which offers a braided spectrum of mind & body practice for daily life. This experiential educational training system marries Indian, Tibetan Buddhist & Yogic technologies. Michael is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and makes custom mixes with live musical performances during each class experience. Michael’s teaching approach empowers students to live a conscious life in support of thriving conscious communities. We teach to live alive.

Cecilies teachings are always warm and loving. She teaches from an open heart and guides you with care and support for who you are and where you are. Always seeing you. And helping you see yourself. Her guiding is non judgmental
and her experience is vast. With more than 900 hours of training in Yoga and yoga therapy, she runs and own UpDogYoga in Copenhagen, which is a modern yoga studio, based on the beliefs that Yoga is so much more than Asanas and body awareness. Even though it strengthens the body, it even more so calms the mind and balance the emotions and enhance the senses. It is a perfect gateway to inner wisdom. And has a profound way of awaken the sleepy. The reality of the human mind, is that it has the potential to be infinite and pure.

Manuella Peverelli

Manuela has been teaching yoga since 2008. Her attitude and approach towards life is influenced by Tantric, Vedic and Buddhist studies and practices. An education in Ayurvedic psychology at the European Ayurveda Academy in 2013 has enriched her background in Western psychiatric nursery. Currently, Manuela started a 3-year education in Buddhist Psychotherapy in Germany.
Manuela teaches in Zurich and Winterthur, Switzerland and lives in the more rural countryside. For her own studies and practice periods she spends the Winter months in Asia.

Alix Northup

Alix Northup

Yoga teacher & massage therapist

Alix began her path of yoga as a teenager when her mom brought her to a yoga class as an alternative treatment for her scoliosis. She draws from her own experience of finding balance in her body and mind to assist others on their own unique path of yoga and healing.

Her teaching reflects over twenty years of experience and study through various teachers and traditions of yoga, movement, bodywork, and meditation.

As a licensed massage therapist, Alix brings a deep understanding of anatomy and alignment into her teaching and hands on adjustments. She greets each class with a fresh eye, with the overall intention of bringing mindfulness into the yoga experience on and off the mat.

Alix is based in Portland, OR and offers group classes, private sessions, workshops, and retreats both locally and internationally. She specializes in yoga therapeutics, specifically backcare and scoliosis.  www.alixnorthup.com

Joan Hyman

Originally from Philadelphia, Joan earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Temple University. Shortly after finishing college, she moved to New York City to pursue a professional dance career, and it was there that she discovered yoga. Soon after, she relocated to Santa Monica, California, where she completed the YogaWorks Teacher Training with Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford in 2002, followed by further study with Annie Carpenter, who is known for her SmartFlow® system of highly intelligent sequencing.
